HOLD THE PHONE

hold the phone

I thought we were in Iraq to fight Al Qaeda, and we are in Afghanistan to fight Al Qaeda. And now Al Qaeda is in Yemen. Is Al Qaeda omnipotent? Or can it be that Al Qaeda is a modern enemy that does not have a geographical place of origin. That would lead a simple man like me to question why are we (America) sending troops and government contractors to Afghanistan? We are spending money and lives to gain the trust of the local people, who will then reject Al Qaeda? do they really believe that? Do you believe that? I do not believe that and history tells us that old outdated model for fighting this type of enemy will fail.

recent actions by our enemy has to me  proved the type of model we are using to fight this enemy is outdated and must be modified or we will not be successful. Why are we still spending money and risking  lives in Iraq, and Afghanistan if Al Qaeda is still attacking the United States like on Christmas day and at Fort Hood then obviously what we are doing in Iraq, and Afghanistan must be not be working.

If it were not for a passenger on Christmas Day, America would have lost 300 lives and the thought of an airplane exploding over a major American city would be devastating. This means that our system seriously failed. All of the billions of tax dollars spent on DHLS, TSA,FBI and all our military actions failed. Please help me, if you see it a different way let me know.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome
