TERROR AND TERRORISTS

Please stick with me on this one. This has been baking in my brain and it must be said. As Stevie wonder said in his song Skeletons “Things are getting real funky, it is not the skunks that are stinkin it is the stinkin lies they tell”

Terror and Terrorists

Webster defines Terror as:

1. A state of intense fear,

2. One that inspires fear,

3. A cause of anxiety

4. Violent or destructive acts committed by groups in order to intimidate a population or government into granting their demands.

Terrorists are defined as a person or group who terrorizes or frightens others.

A campaign of fear through manipulation of truth using America media has been waged against the American people. This is terror at its most devious level. These people are paid and trusted by Americans. Some have been manipulated, some are involved because of monetary gain, some are seeking power, and others are involved because of pure hatred.
This campaign of terror was conceived inside of the capital belt of the United States, Washington DC. And it is affecting the way of all Americans republican, democrat, or independent live. It does not matter if you voted for the 44th president of the United States or not the fear or terror has affected you.

During the August Congressional recess While most middle class Americans were living a daytime nightmare of loosing their jobs, homes, and healthcare the country was realizing we were on the brink a modern day depression because of eight years of economic blunders, and neglect of the American people one lie and manipulation after another, a war to bolster corporate greed (Halliburton and the oil companies that are now enjoying exclusive multiyear contracts in Iraq. The US knew exactly what weapons Saddam had he was a CIA operative for many years) The expansion of the US government into the daily lives of its people by the development of the Department of Homeland Security and the private lives of its people by the Patriot act. And the bailout of the banks and corporations that swindled the middle class Americans. These terrorists issued marching orders to their troops and unleashed them on the American people their battle field was the Town Hall meetings the vehicle to advance their terror Health Care.

Being a trained observer, I questioned how each one of these yelling angry people all had the same words and phases and actions then while watching an MSNBC news show I was directed to a web site called Plum Line where I read Greg Sargent discovered details of a conference call that was held among some of the organizers of the town hall disruptions. According to someone who is on that call, the explicit goal of the disruptions, as stated by the protest organizers is, “not to find a solution to the health care crisis.” The moderator of the conference call said, “The goal is not compromise, and any bill coming out this year would be a failure for us.”
Another organizer put it even more bluntly, saying, “We have an opportunity to realistically kill Obama‘s agenda.” That was their target that is what they have been planning since the elections, to destroy Obama even if it means hurting the American people. Their leader called for it on his daily talk show “I want this guy to fail” when informed that a failure of the American president could mean the destruction of the American people he simply said “I do not care”. Listening to the Maddow show on MSNBC I learned that the people behind this call was the Tea Party Patriots, who are partners with a cooperation called Freedom Works who armed the Town Hall terrorists with action plans and questions and a list of town hall meetings to attend giving them direct orders to be aggressive and shake up rattle the congress person.” BOMB THE MEETINGS was the term used. Freedom Works is a Washington, D.C.-based advocacy group that is chaired by the former Republican House Majority Leader Dick Armey. I learned that Dick Armey is a senior policy adviser at a Washington, D.C.-based lobbying firm called DLA Piper. One of DLA Piper client is Bristol-Myers Squibb a huge pharmaceutical corporation, also medical device supplier SleepMed Incorporated and get this health care provider Metropolitan Health. Do you get the picture? These people do not care about the American people they are protecting their money. These corporations has launched attack after attack causing fear (terror) and intimidation advancing out and out lies regarding healthcare that has a group of Americans devoid of the facts. This whole Tea Party so called movement is backed by large corporations that do not have the interest of the middle class American. I am disappointed that the Republican Party has chosen to identify and back these groups. However checking into the leadership of Freedom Works will give us the information that is needed to follow the involvement of the Republican party for instance the President of Freedom Works is Matt Kibbe. Before joining FreedomWorks, Kibbe was the former senior economist for the Republican National Committee. Before that, he was chief of staff to Republican Congressman Dan Miller of Florida. Republican officials and the health insurance industry and for-profit hospital consulting firms and for-profit cancer treatment centers, Most of you that know me understand I do not believe in coincidence. Oh and all these commercials that are airing now regarding healthcare are all backed by these type of corporations. Please do not be fooled they do not give a damn about the American people. These corporations are the same people who introduced and backed the false information that Obama was not an American citizen, which Obama was going to take away your guns, that healthcare would have “death panels”. All causing fear or for lack of a better word terror on targeted section of American citizens. The result The Secret Service has said that the President has had an increase 440 percent of threats on his life. And NEWS FLASH the five largest for profit insurers in this country made a combined $12.2 billion last year. A 56 percent increase from 2008, a new profit record set of course in the middle of the worst economic decline since the Great Depression. They accomplished this record feat by covering 2.7 million fewer people through private insurance than they did the year before. I GUESS TERORISM WORKS.

IS THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT BROKEN?

Ok I am back, I know I do not Blog daily or weekly like most of the talking heads. Most blog or talk just to read or hear themselves. I blog when I feel I have something to add to the national conversation or to a targeted group of people. I feel a question begs to be asked to the American people regarding our government. Is the American Government Broken?


To begin to answer this question we must first define what the government is supposed to do for the American people. Back to Government 101;

America has three branches of Government

Executive (the President, Vice President and 15 cabinet members) The president is the commander-in-chief of the U.S. Armed Forces and is essentially the leader of the country; may recommend legislation to Congress; may convene Congress; has the power to appoint ambassadors to other nations; can appoint Supreme Court justices and other federal judges; and is expected, with his Cabinet and its agencies, to carry out and enforce the laws of the United States.

 Legislative  (Congress, the collective legislative body made up of the Senate and the House.) he primary function of these two bodies is to write, debate and pass bills and to send them on to the president for his approval or veto. If the president gives his approval to a bill, it immediately becomes law

 Judicial  (The Supreme Court it’s up to the federal judicial system to sort through this web of legislation and decide what is constitutional and what is not.)

Our Government is based on:

Federalism: The U.S. Constitution establishes a government based on "federalism," or the sharing of power between the national, and state (and local) governments. Our power-sharing form of government is the opposite of "centralized" governments, such as those in England and France, under which national government maintains total power

Ok I know that was boring to most readers however you would be surprised when the majority of people asked did not remember these basic facts about our government.
The three branches were created to protect the people of the United States, debate and pass laws that protect and help the people of the United States, and to make sure the laws passed are within the guidelines of the Constitution.

So ok let’s evaluate the performance of each for the past oh lets say year.

The Executive branch. The President Well he seems to be doing his job, he has given the State of the Union to Congress, nominated several people to his cabinet, he is leading the Military, implementing and enforcing the laws written by Congress and, to that end, appoints the heads of the federal agencies, and recommend legislation to Congress. Actually he has gone above that by holding televised meetings with the House for example..

The Judicial Branch have been performing their jobs, Hearing cases and rendering opinions on the rule of constitutional law.

The Legislative Branch; Ahh well that is where the system seems to be failing the American people.  Actually at one point last week stopped Americans that are out of work from receiving unemployment payment and medical help simply because one group of Senators wanted to prove a point to the President and Congress. It simply seems that one group in Congress has an  agenda is to stall government or cause the President to fail simply because they do not like the President party affiliation. Oh yeah the Congress is divided in more that the Senate and House of Representatives. Congress is also divided by political parties the Republicans and the Democrats. The republicans seem to have become obstructionists following an agenda by their party leader (a radio talk show host) to make the president and his party fail at all costs even if it means destroying individual American citizens. Some may argue that a talk show host is not the leader of the party, however: I beg to differ the official head of the party is simply  “stepinfetchit” appointed as a sign that they are diversified as a party after to their amazement and horror the people of America elected for the first time in history a black person as President. If anyone doubted this fact please recall when the official Republican Party leader was made to give a public apology to the talk show host for simply speaking his mind. The problem was that it differed with the talk show host.

The Republican Party has created an environment of hate and discontent by broadcasting lies and half truths simply to gain power again.

So Yes I believe the government is broken and the Republican Party is the broken part. The Democrats need to get going and find a way to manipulate past the republican or they will also be seen as a part of the problem they have sat back on their behinds patting themselves on the back for a year now, they have allowed a super majority opportunity pass them. It is time to act like men and women not little kids whining that the republicans are not playing fair. Learn to play the game and win or the American middle class will all loose.
